SB vs NS | Twitter on the edge as Graham Clark seals the deal for Superchargers with last-ball six

Northern Superchargers beat Southern Brave by three wickets in a last-ball thriller in Southampton. Jacob Duffy picked up three wickets to restrict Brave before Graham Clark’s last-ball heroics saw the Superchargers condemn the hosts to their first defeat in The Hundred Men’s 2025 campaign.
Graham Clark had a dream outing with the bat as he smashed a last-ball six to power Northern Superchargers to a three-wicket win against Southern Brave in Southampton. Clark remained unbeaten on 38 off 24 balls to condemn Brave to their first loss in The Hundred Men’s 2025 campaign on Wednesday.
After being put in to bat first at The Rose Bowl, the hosts recovered well, after a torrid start, to post a challenging total of 139/5 in 100 balls. Leus du Plooy, captain James Vince, and Jason Roy were all back in the hut as New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy took three wickets in his first three sets to reduce Brave to 27/3 at the end of the powerplay. Wicketkeeper-batter Laurie Evans and James Coles helped the home side recover with an 87-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Evans hit six fours and two sixes to top-score in the game with 53 off 34 balls. Meanwhile, Coles remained unbeaten on a 36-ball 49, which included three fours and a six. Duffy ended with impressive figures of 3/26 in 20 balls, while his fellow countryman, Mitchell Santner, picked up 2/24 in four sets.
In return, Superchargers lost opener Dawid Malan, who was castled by Craig Overton, in the first over. Though Zak Crawley (29) and captain Harry Brook (24) played entertaining cameos, the visitors kept losing wickets at regular intervals to find themselves at a precarious 80/5. But Graham Clark and Mitchell Santner’s 50-run partnership in just 33 balls left the equation tantalisingly poised at 10 runs from the last five balls. With five needed off the final ball, Clark smashed left-arm seamer Tymal Mills for a six to help the visitors finish on the right side of a nail-biting finish. He remained unbeaten on 38 off 24 balls, hitting three fours and the all-important six, as Superchargers reached 141/7. Meanwhile, Craig Overton was the home side's most successful bowler with a spell of 3/29, while Jofra Archer and Tymal Mills finished with two wickets.
