Signed from Inter Milan in 2023 for £47.2 million, Onana’s time at Old Trafford has been marked by flashes of quality overshadowed by costly mistakes, including a disastrous Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby Town last month.
United moved quickly to sign Belgian keeper Senne Lammens for £18.2 million on deadline day, paving the way for Onana’s temporary exit.
