The match was highlighted by brilliant bowling from Imran Tahir and an explosive knock from Shai Hope, who guided the Warriors to victory in a tense finish.
St Lucia Kings, after opting to bat first, struggled to convert starts into big scores with opener Tim Seifert and Roston Chase getting out in their 20s. Johnson Charles played a breezy knock of 51 of 33 balls, with 46 of those runs coming from boundaries. The opener smashed seven fours and three sixes and was well-supported by Tim David, who hit two sixes and three fours during an entertaining cameo of 32 in 18 balls. THe Warriors’ skipper Imran Tahir was adjudged the Player of the Match for his match-winning 4/33 in the first innings, which restricted the Kings to a manageable total after an excellent start.
