Raheem Sterling, back at Chelsea after a loan spell at Arsenal (28 appearances, 1 goal, 5 assists), wants to stay in London. As the summer transfer window progresses, Raheem Sterling is pushing for a move that keeps him in London amid interest from multiple Premier League clubs. The 30-year-old winger, still contracted to Chelsea, spent last season on loan at Arsenal, where he made 28 appearances, scored once (in the Carabao Cup vs Bolton), and provided five assists. However, he started only seven league games and failed to establish himself under Mikel Arteta.
With no future at Stamford Bridge, Sterling is keen to remain in the capital to stay close to his son, who plays in Arsenal’s youth setup. Crystal Palace are reportedly considering an approach, while Fulham have held talks, and West Ham, now managed by Graham Potter, Sterling’s former boss at Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign him. The most likely scenario is a loan move, as clubs remain cautious about committing to a permanent deal.
Palace are especially eager to reinforce their squad ahead of their first-ever European campaign, although they are still waiting for UEFA's final decision on their Europa League status following a demotion to the Conference League over multi-club ownership rules. Sterling’s future is expected to be resolved before UEFA’s August 11 ruling on Palace’s European participation.
