Harry Kane scored a 13-minute second-half hat-trick in Bayern Munich’s 6-0 Bundesliga opener against Leipzig. Assisted twice by Luis Díaz, Kane’s third came from Kim Min-jae’s stunning 50-meter run and pass after coming off the bench. It was Kane’s first-ever season-opening hat-trick, breaking his former Premier League August curse and highlighting Bayern’s strong title intent.
Bayern Munich made a flying start to the 2025-26 Bundesliga season with a dominant 6-0 victory over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena, powered by a Harry Kane hat trick. The 32-year-old striker, who has often struggled in August during his Premier League career, broke his so-called “August curse” by scoring three goals in just 13 minutes of the second half.
Kane’s first two goals were created by new signing Luis Díaz, who joined from Liverpool and quickly struck up an understanding with the England captain. The third goal, however, came thanks to South Korean defender Kim Min-jae. Introduced in the 68th minute, Kim produced a remarkable interception near the halfway line, embarked on a storming 50-meter dribble, and set up Kane with a precise pass to complete the hat trick.
It was Kane’s first-ever hat trick in a Bundesliga season opener, a performance he described as a statement of Bayern’s intent to win the title. He praised teammates Díaz, Michael Olise, and Kim Min-jae for their contributions, highlighting their growing chemistry. For Bayern, the emphatic win not only underlined their attacking power but also showcased Kim Min-jae’s impact despite starting on the bench.
