Coming to the Serie A opener at Allianz Stadium, Juventus started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Parma, highlighted by Jonathan David’s dream debut. The Canadian forward, assisted by Kenan Yildiz, scored the first goal, becoming only the second Canadian ever to score in Italy’s top flight after Tajon Buchanan. David also maintained his remarkable streak of scoring in four consecutive league season openers, continuing the form he showed at Lille.

Juventus head coach Igor Tudor praised David’s movement inside the penalty area, calling it a rare talent that separates him from others. He also lauded his team’s patience and defensive solidity against a Parma side that defended deep. A crucial block from Bremer denied Parma before Juventus broke the deadlock, showing the side’s discipline at the back. After David was substituted, Dusan Vlahovic added the second goal, though his future at the club remains uncertain with his contract expiring next summer.

Tudor admitted that transfer decisions rest with the club directors but stressed that Vlahovic remains focused on performing. The victory gave Juventus a strong start to the season, combining defensive control with attacking efficiency, and offered fans a glimpse of David’s potential impact in Turin.
