After the latest developments in the transfer market, Al Nassr have agreed a £43.7 million (€50m) deal to sign Joao Felix from Chelsea. The fee includes an initial £26.2m (€30m) payment and £17.5m (€20m) in potential add-ons. Felix joined Chelsea permanently last summer for around £45m after a loan stint from Atletico Madrid but failed to make a lasting impact, and spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, where he netted three goals in 19 appearances.
His exit now paves the way for Chelsea to push ahead with the signing of RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons. The Blues are also in advanced talks with Ajax for 19-year-old defender Jorrel Hato, reportedly willing to offer £44m (€50m), though Ajax are holding out for around £52m (€60m). Felix’s departure is part of Chelsea’s strategy to trim a bloated squad and fund further signings.
Other potential departures include Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, Ben Chilwell, and Carney Chukwuemeka, who is attracting interest from RB Leipzig. With these moves, Chelsea are looking to reshape their squad ahead of the new season while preparing for a busy Premier League campaign with Sky Sports airing 215 live games.
